Hi! I’m so happy that you could drop by Fabulous Classroom. Here is a bit about me:
I wear a lot of hats. My favorite hat says “Mom” but really should say a lot more (i.e., chauffeur, cook, hairstylist, tutor, makeup artist, bank, psychologist…you get the picture).
My prior hats said attorney and elementary Spanish teacher (hated the former, loved the latter). When 4 back surgeries gave me a lot of time, I decided to combine my passion for teaching with my love of color and design in order to create learning resources for both teachers and parents. I began to primarily create Spanish resources that can be found on Teachers Pay Teachers (and are slowly making their way here to this site). I then taught myself Photoshop, Illustrator, and WordPress through a variety of sources, and Fabulous Classroom was born.
As a passionate educator, I believe that all children, regardless of their backgrounds or social status, should receive the same level of education.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Minor in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. I live in the Northern Chicago Suburbs with my husband, Jason, and our crazy-but-lucky-she’s-cute goldendoodle, Phoebe. My son, Sam, is 24 and currently teaching English to elementary students in Madrid, and my daughter, Alexa, is 21 and a college junior. I am still getting used to the empty-nester life!
I always LOVE connecting with people, so don’t hesitate to get in touch with me whenever you’d like to see a particular blog post, product, or just want to say hi!
